Bullrush and Grasses
After our Wednesday Walking for Health walk near Campbell Park Pavilion, M, B and I enjoyed coffee and cake in the Camphill Community café. This community (founded in 1981), provides support and a working life for adults with learning difficulties. Around fifty residents live together with volunteer staff and their families in ten separate households. Together they form a community of over one hundred people living on several sites on the neighbouring housing estates. The café is excellent and there is also a theatre, and a brilliant shop selling home made artisan bread, some interesting foods and unique crafts, well worth a visit if you want something a bit different. http://camphillmk.co.uk/
B and I had a bimble with our camera along the canal afterwards. I found the following poem to go with the above shot.
Serenity found.
In a place of tall grasses,
Happily alive.
