Flat Out!

It's a hard life - he's been flat out all day!

Poor Ollie doesn't get much of a look in on the days when I work a full day, especially as it's dark when I get home at night. Still, we have a walk in the early morning, searching for pheasants in the long grass and frightening the moorhens. The moorhens are very satisfying to chase as they have incredibly long legs and can run at a good speed!

Ollie is not what you'd call a hunting dog - he chases things for a wee while, then gets the scent of something more interesting and gives up! He'd much rather enjoy a good smell and roll in something stinky than do any serious hunting and killing!
