Tough day

Yep, today was a tough one. My eldest and I just rubbed each other up the wrong way and it resulted in me being the sort of parent that I really don't want to be.

There were some lovely points, as there always are even on the darkest of days. We made necklaces, watched Mary Poppins, played with playdoh and Lego. And we received two beautiful Jip en Janneke cards from my aunt who is always so thoughtful and supportive, particularly since my mum died. They were just what I needed to get me through today.
