wild morning

As we entered the woods on our usual morning walk, the magpies were in high alert. I thought maybe they were squawking at an owl. Much to our surprise they chased out a Bobcat (also known as lynx).
I was so shocked that I did not even put my camera to my face, but just watched the cat bound out of the woods. But when we came out of the woods, there it was going up someone's driveway!
And a few doors down, we saw a mule deer buck making himself at home - see the extra photo.
What a wild morning!
