Elderflower and almond cake

At dinnertime we tried out the elderflower and almond cake which I made last night (undid the work in the gymn! ). I have been meaning to make it for ages and wanted to do it as one of my Clandestine Cake Club efforts, so this was a try out.  The recipe was from the Sunday Times.It was described as moist, but I found it a little bit too moist although absolutely delicious.  I will do it again for a dinner-party dessert rather than a cake, and will try out another of the elderflower cake recipes which I have in my file.
