Takahe Mirror Mirror ...

I finally saw a takahe admittedly in a sanctuary. There were two of them, and the colours were amazing.  They plan to give them a fertilised egg as these couple are sterile they say. 
These birds were once thought to be extinct, and there are still very few of them. For a long time they thought they only had males. 

She is looking at herself in the water bowl.
