Cygnet

Yet another scouting mission for kingfishers ended up with a blank. This time it was where the monmouthshire canal passes under the M4, but all was not lost. I spent probably nearly an hour watching 2 swans with their 7 cygnets swim and feed.

I spent most of that time playing cat and mouse with mum and dad, as i tried to get a low angle lying on the floor either mum or dad would swim at me protecting their babies. I would obviously back off and try again from a different position. Always trying not to worry them i managed to get a few shots at a low angle, here are some images of my trip to the canal.
