Lake Guerlédan, Brittany

The Lake has been drained this year for the first time in 30 years, for maintenance to be carried out to the barrage wall. It's amazing to see locks and lock houses which were submerged when the valley was flooded in the 1920s and are now seeing the light of day again. 
The draining of the lake started in the spring, and vegetation has grown on the mud since it has been exposed to the air and sunlight.
