Grounded

Put back the chocks. I know what Joni Mitchell meant now. I am looking at life from Both Sides Now. I got as far as the plane but did not take off.

Bows and flows of angel hair and ice cream castles in the air
and feather canyons everywhere, I've looked at clouds that way.
But now they only block the sun, they rain and snow on everyone.
So many things I would have done but clouds got in my way.

And I was all geared up to go but the pilot said it would be a bit risky. And I knew all the parts and manoeuvres. I had learned to take off on Youtube. I was a bit dodgy about the landing bit but was going to chance it anyway.

Provisionally booked for Thursday unless clouds get in my way.
