School Wynd

The lane at the bottom of our garden is looking quite pretty just now. The roses in our cherry tree have done really well this year even although they are much later flowering than usual.

At the other side of the lane there used to be the village primary school, now converted to houses, hence the name School Wynd.  The Wynd itself is getting more and more overgrown each year as the council has no responsibility for it. The houses which back onto the Wynd used to mow the grass which is not a fun job as it is used by dog walkers so most have now abandoned this pleasure.

Another very cold wet day, I feel that summer has finished here for this year,
