Diary of an Edinburgher

Gloomy

I'm going to try not to whinge about the weather... Suffice to say, we've been inside all day, JR made SOUP, and I'm wearing my dressing gown over my clothes. We've watched Cordon, a most bleak and depressing Belgium series about a fatal disease outbreak and the breakdown of law and order inside the cordon. Not perhaps the best choice to lift the general gloom...

Archie's highlights of the day were some chopped carrots while helping with the soup making, and a teensy bit of my Magnum. (Actually, this was MY highlight of the day, too). He's been round the block a couple of times, and had a swift run in the Meadows, and slept the rest of the time, which he doesn't mind.

I spent a large part of my morning on the phone arranging travel insurance for our adventure in October. I had to go through all my ailments, and answer endless questions about them, and then exclude them, as they cost too much. And anyway, they're all pill regulated and not likely to flare up, unless I forget my pills! Eek!

And I've gone off the idea of swimming in the mornings till JR starts school again (two weeks left!!). Then the diet and swimming will proceed with vigour. You read it here first.

But lo! There is some good news. Parks and Recreation is on again tonight. Yay!
