The Tide was on the Way Out

13.0C with light rain on and off most of the day. Moderate breeze.

Apothecary7 had a day off today. Some sort of public/local holiday. We did the grocery shopping in the morning since we were away on Saturday and Sunday.

We took Maeve the Deerhound for a walk before lunch. There were spots of rain most of the way round the walk. Maeve was noticeably quicker in the cooler temperature. We went up to the church then continued out along the country road to Scryne. We turned right at Craigmill farm and went down the track to the shore road.

We came back along the cycle path and went down to the beach at Westhaven via the road bridge over the railway. The tide was on the way out and the sea was rougher than recent days with small waves breaking over the rocks. Valhalla A, Shamara II and the smaller boats were moored in the sheltered offshoot of the channel though the rocks.

We came back over the road bridge over the railway then carried on round in a long loop heading into Carnoustie and up the main road before turning along for home.

It has been too wet for Maeve to be in her garden today. There have been heavier showers this afternoon.
