Drove up to see our friends (see extra) in Nottingham today. Driving rain and a couple of hold ups and I was impressed it only took 3 hours; a whole hour less than I reckoned!

What can I say about friend Ian & Barbara except it was GREAT to see them; and they had invited another couple whom we have got to know over the years. Ian is an Anglican minister and he and Barbara came out to Dubai in 2002 to see the church we were attending, through a difficult transition. They did a sterling job and we have stayed in touch since then visiting them nearly every summer.

Staying overnight in a B&B nearby so we can visit Lincoln Cathedral with them tomorrow. Can't wait. :D
