A day of three thirds
When I woke up this morning, I thought I'd overslept and it was November! The rain was pelting down and the wind was howling. So We spent the morning doing little necessary jobs. Then both boys had friends around and I took H and his friend to the beach for an ice cream. What a difference a few hours makes. The sand was so white it was dazzling in the sunlight. The beach was virtually empty as the wind was still gusty, but it was just perfect. A few moments of peace to carry away the cares, at least temporarily.
As i write, it's back to being autumnal again. No rain at the moment, but still windy with lots of ominous looking clouds.
