Old hut, Bletchley Park
Bletchley Park is quite different today from what I saw on my first visit around a decade ago. Apart from the new stuff that has appeared, they have gradually been renovating the old huts. The air of dilapidation and of making do is less and less a feature of the site, but in a way this diminishes the impact of the place for me. I know it's always a dilemma with historic buildings; do you leave them alone in their shabby splendour and dereliction, or do you try to show how they would have looked when they were new? Whatever. I thought I'd capture one of the huts that haven't yet had The Treatment.
