Left Dorset for the Isle of Wight this arvo.

Kids excited by the ferry but the late nights have caught up with Tobes and he was super grumpy all day! Took a small chain ferry first as a short cut to Sandbanks - apparently the most expensive place in the UK to live. It wasn't unpleasant but I can think of other places I would rather live if I had that kind of money!! 

On arrival we headed straight to the Needles and made it to the gate just as the lady was closing it. Fortunately she took pity on us after walking 3/4 miles to get there with two small people and let us in and to be honest, half an hour was plenty of time to look round the site. Toby loved the telescope and also the little tunnel leading to the observation room and cheered up a bit until Mr EG bored him supid with an educational lecture (see extra pic!!) 

Pitched up at a working farm campsite near Compton Bay. Great site, loads of space to fly kites, kick balls and run about. Drank a lot of Pimms and red wine this evening once T&E were in bed.
