Subtle Matterhorn

On the first lift to the start of the 5 lakes walk above Zermatt this morning. The path leads past the lakes of the Stellisee, Grindjisee, Grünsee, Moosjisee and Leisee. Each of these mountain lakes has a very different in character. It was clear that the weather was changing with high cirrus building up. The sky was still blue at the first lake, Stellisee (see extra photo) but I liked the pastel shades of the mountain above Grindjisee, here, better.

How lucky we are to be able to leave home at 8am one day and return by lunchtime the next day, with 2 great days on the hill stacked in our memories including meeting Ros and Trevor last night.

Back blipped 2 very different Matterhorn moods from yesterday. But Trevor's Matterhorn collection from a whole week in Zermatt, must be seen if you like this mountain. https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/2071983549749136845. I just noticed we were on the same bit of hillside today!
