Flaky

I have been thinking a lot over the last couple of days about the US Presendential election and have been pretty swept along with the hype.

Part of me deplores the incredible amounts of money spent on campaigning.

Part of me is jealous that the whole of the USA seems to be engaged and excited at the prospect of having their say - whether they are voting for Obama or McCain.

I have an ever deepening scepticism about the flaky politics in the UK and the complete absence of debate on policies and politics. It feels about one level lower than mud slinging. The media circus and the desperate need to get circulation/viewer figures doesn't help.

To be honest, I'm not very interested any more. Sad but true. Fingers crossed that it changes as election time comes around. But I'm not holding my breath.

Oh yeah, my internet connection was flaky last night too ... so I didn't manage to catch up on your journals as I would have liked to!
