Old friends

Doreen's 90th birthday celebrations, a couple of days before the actual date, brought together an old friend as well as family. Kay was a neighbour of Doreen's in Glasgow many, many years ago. Her daughter, Yvonne, was friends with Barbara so it was a great reunion for all concerned.

All the preparatory work yesterday paid dividends as an enticing array of food was eagerly consumed, both sweet and savoury.

Susan had put together a series of photographs of Doreen's life from a four year old to the present day, capturing some of the highlights and people, many of which are no longer with us but were remembered today and, in a way, part of the celebrations.
