Young Barley
As it was almost a summer today we decided to take Dylan out to the countryside for his walk. We went to Loxley, a few miles from Stratford, where there is a walk we know. It's a very rural, past fields with sheep, horses and cattle; also fields of gently waving young barley. The light green of the barley fields were reminiscent of the sea with channels of the flattened crops sweeping into the distance.
Other photos taken on the Loxley walk (in January and today) can be seen here Loxley.
Later we had lunch in the garden and watched some of the tennis from Queen's where Britain's only hope Andy Murray was eliminated in the first round - doh!
Consolation was a lovely tea of aubergine gratin cooked by Ann - delicious.
Tech News: my mobile phone contract was applicable for an upgrade today. I've been swinging between the HTC One X and the Samsung Galaxy S3. Having exchanged numerous texts with Number One Son, I think I've decided on the HTC. Tomorrow then, if I get chance, it's down to the 3 Shop.
