The Bairns are back!

Falkirk FC's first competitive match of Season 2015-16 saw The Bairns take on East Fife at home in the first round of the Petrofac Training Cup.

It hasn't been that long since our last competitive fixture - the Scottish Cup Final against Inverness Caledonian Thistle on 30th May - and the team didn't look at their best against their lower-league opponents. However, two late goals saw us run out 3-1 winners and spare us the agony of extra time. It wasn't that great a game, to be honest, but I'll settle for a win and a place in the next round.

The new football season is under way and, for this particular fan, that's no bad thing.
