Lanark Airshow 1910
In August 1910 Twenty aviators representing ten countries took part in the inaugural Scottish Airshow.
The spectacle drew massive crowds estimated at 250,000 people over the week
The main achievements included the first ever recording of speed of an aircraft over a measured mile. An altitude record of 6,750 feet and a speed record of 75.95 mph were set.
