Hyena sunrise

Another hideously early start was made worthwhile by this spotted hyena sighting in the light of the rising sun. It was the beginning of a great day in Hluhluwe-iMfolozi game reserve with EuroZulu Tours.

The first extra has a bit of extreme lens flare but still captures something of the dawn and the dramatic landscape. I thought about including the windswept baboon as my main shot - somehow it reminds me of the iconic 80's "Blown away" ad campaign for Maxell audio cassettes (ask your dad kids!).
