Young Sparrowhawk

... which sat on our fence for quite a long time this afternoon.  Photographed through glass, so not the best, but good enough to please me.  I wonder if this was the bird that was causing our blackbirds to have an apoplectic fit the other morning.  I thought I caught a glimpse of a sparrow hawk in the tree.

A bit of a mixed day for all of us - the afternoon better than the morning, with mum in quite a good humour.   We've still been tired, even though we had a Marie Curie night-sitter staying with us.  A different sitter tonight, though one we've had before, so hopefully we might relax a bit more.
