Wild and Free

This flower was blooming along a stream where my grandson and I fished this afternoon. I had not seen it before and I don't know what it is. 

We had a good time fishing this morning in the ocean; we caught three salmon, two were natives so we had to release them. :-(     But that one salmon was all we really needed to feel like the trip was successful.  Grandson #3 and I went fishing in fresh water when we got back. So fun! I love the scenery and the company......and he caught a lot of trout. He is into "catch and release" so he let all of them go, until he got the BIG one. It was a Coastal Cut Throat Trout that was returning to the stream after a time of growth in the ocean; that is what we were looking for, we had heard that they were starting to come in. We were so excited, especially because we were ready to leave and he took one more cast and caught that fish!!! I love time with grandkids and I happen to enjoy stream fishing more than ocean fishing, so I was a happy camper!
