Went looking for kereru, found a bee

No wood pigeons to be found this morning. A bit early in the day. While we rested from our walk at a cousins bbq table along came a bee and sat right in front of the camera. I took a couple with TV wide angle and then carefully turned it to macro. It has exceptionally long legs so may be something different? Anyone know?
The extra shows the view we were looking at. I found a hebe flower too.
