Substitute catapult.

My daughter's class have a project called Child Initiated Learning, where they can choose something to make connected to their topic. I've spent the afternoon helping them build a catapult from bits of wood and elastic bands. My girl seems to be something of a carpenter, like her dad, managing to saw, drill, and hammer straight. No squashed fingers or splinters to report. Before I left they tested it and it worked! I'm not allowed to take photos of other children and I was working with 5 of them, so I've had to blip my black viola instead.
