An Hour of Summer
I stuck a washing out before I drove down to Fife to pick up the Bandits. Well, it was dry at the time. By the time I got back again there had been torrential rain, but it was clearing.
We lunched, and then we took the dog out - it rained again. We got home, played a game for a bit, and then the sun came out.
For an hour, it was glorious. Hot, bright; "It's just like summer" I said. "Silly Granny" said Ida, "It IS summer!". Oh, yeah.
Picnic chairs out, ice-lollies produced, parasol up. I drank my coffee outside, and we played a game or two of tennis after our refreshments. Then it rained again.
Sigh. Pack everything up and put it away, back inside.
They have now been taken home again, and I'm back here with the Rockster, just about to demolish a plate of the Bolognese I made yesterday, and crack open a Brahma while watching downloads of series 6 of Sons of Anarchy.
Have a good weekend y'all. Hope it's sunny where you are.
