Durham

Thankfully Charlotte was OK. Just a false alarm.
So here we are in Hexham.
Just about to go to bed after a wonderful day. Have laughed so much with our friends!
Lovely to see them again.

We called at Durham on the way up. A city we have not visited before.
What a beautiful city. Had such a friendly atmosphere.
The cathedral was magnificent. No charge either, unlike York Minster.
We had a walk along the river, and up through the cobbled streets.
Nice to see so many different street musicians .
After a wonderful meal, and several bottles of champagne and wine we should sleep well!
