Cabo de Gata

The most southerly point in Almeria is this lighthouse. We haven't been here for ten years but the road has certainly improved in that time.

The area north of the lighthouse has a photogenic Dungeness type quality with some lovely homemade sheds and constructions. Also nearby are some enormous salt lagoons which are home to thousands of flamingos which feel very exotic for Spain.
