Home sweet home

This tiny and rather "twee" heart-shaped nesting box has been up, on the garage wall for three years. It was a present from Sally and Matt.
I put this up in what I thought would be a vain hope, and had always regarded it as the least likely of all our nestboxes to become occupied.

However, a few days ago we noticed some nesting material protruding from the entry hole!! How wrong can one be?

It is severely weathered and so I have brought it down for cleaning and re-painting, finding that it had been crammed full with a snug little nest!
I suspect Robin, but Blue and Great tits would be suspects also.
Now the little box is undergoing rehabilitation, cleaning and re-painting and it shall be put up again in the same spot within a day or two - to be more closely monitored next year!
