IN THE SAUERLAND FOREST

where we walked in the morning.
Yesterday we arrived safely in the Sauerland where my sister and her partner have a wonderful apartment, looking over a valley towards the steep hill at the other side.
We rested after our trip, sitting outside on the balcony. My sister made us a delicious meal and after that we walked a lovely tranquil path. To the Kneipp Anlage, meeting the cows in the half-dark and followed another path back home.
We slept soundly.
This morning after breakfast and drinking coffee, we made another walk in the other direction, following a brook,. You can see in the picture Piet Hein and Paul, who walked ahead. My sister and I followed, talking and enjoying the surroundings too.
After lunch Piet Hein and I started our journey home. On our way we went to have a look on the Diemel Quelle (the same Diemel that streams into the Weser in our Weser Upland town), and also visited the Schloss in Bad Arolsen, where princess Emma, the later queen of Holland lived as a young girl.
We were so happy to have made this trip!
