Museo de la Miel

My family has a horror of me finding obscure, usually single subject , museums while on holiday. I have persuaded them to submit themselves to the story of salt , cork and a variety of other things from such places over the years and I still regret being talked out of a trip to the "Museum of Forgotten Vegetables" I once saw a leaflet about in France .

Today Cathleen and I came across a sign to this place and after a lot of driving up and down very narrow and steep roads in Colmenar ( the centre of apiary in southern Spain , apparently) we managed to get there.

Cathleen , having been a bee-keeper , enjoyed it a bit more than most of the others.
