We like to think that we give a warm welcome to visitors to Arnside whether they come by train, bike, on foot or by car. Although too many of the last of those can overwhelm us a bit.

But if you come by boat ( and you can only do so when there is a high tide) you should perhaps be ready to repel boarders. Found this over the wall from the beach this morning. It is a first. I thought maybe they were filmingpart of the new Swallows and Amazons here and that Captain Flint would appear. But I suspect it is enterprising grandparents who are working hard to amuse their wards who are free from school.
