Rose with a macro - baseline?

Those of you who knopw me here, know I love photographing roses. This is one of the reasons I so wanted a macro lens.

I've had the lens 3 blipnights so far and have tried roses each night with limited success and so last night did a bit of reading. It seems lighting, a tripod and patience are needed! So here's tonight's effort using all three. It's a start.
