New Brighton Pier

Had a wander round the pier this morning, chilly round the ears but quite refreshing all the same. I quite liked the shadow of the pier on the water creating an impression of a path through the sea. Plenty of seagulls about, a few fishing off the pier, some dog walkers and others ambling by.
 
After doing our groceries we went to our favourite café for lunch and heard that our cheery waitress may be changing her days, Thursdays will be her day off.
 
Following a good frost this morning we've had a reasonably calm and sunny day, almost felt like spring!
