Fleet Fish, Reflected Glory
I took my Honda S2000 to specialist Tom at TGM Sport Racing in Fleet, Hampshire today. While he was working on the car I walked around Fleet Pond, which is the largest freshwater lake in Hampshire. It is man-made and provided fish for the monks at Winchester cathedral in the fourteen hundreds.
I spotted some largish fish in a pool in the woods. An old man told me that they are chub and are often accompanied in this pool by pike. I wanted to get a pic of the fish as they swam under the reflection of a morning glory flower at the water's edge. I achieved this but the result was distinctly muddy. :) I've upped the saturation and made it more abstract.
I've included a view from the lake path into a pretty garden in extra photos which I'm sure will be more up Blippers' streets. :)
PS My sister's partner, who does quite a bit of fishing, thinks this is more likely to be some sort of carp as they thrive in still water. Chub, he thinks, need to be in moving water in rivers and streams.
