Ruby Rose

Everything around here has been slow to come to bloom and to colour.  There are various explanations involving the weather e.g. chilly spring nights and the lack of summer sun.  There are some explanations around the competence of the gardener and certainly it seems one or two shrubs were severely talked to during a pruning operation.  On the positive side, it might mean a more colourful August.

The blipped rose is Ruby Wedding Anniversary.  I bought it for its colour and in anticipation of an event which happens next month.  Dangerous getting these sort of things in advance.
