Another straw on the camels back

I know its not a camel, its a tenuous metaphor.

The garage was being removed today, along with a huge chunk of cash, so I took Jack to the woods to avoid hours of ear bleeding barking at workmen. The decision not to tackle it myself was vindicated when it collapsed part way through. No professionals were harmed in the un-making of etc.

Its removal has highlighted the fact that the brick wall retaining the hardcore it was sat on is basically falling apart and the top concrete slab isn't actually level. God knows how we are going to sort that as it must weigh tons, removal of any bricks to relay them causes the hardcore to come out and the fiscal pot is beginning to echo when you shout into it.

But sort it we must & will. Ah well, onward and ...
