One man went to mow..

Went to mow a meadow,one man and his dog called Patch,went to mow a meadow !
First job this morning was another quad bike rodeo bringing in the next lot of cows and calves to be weaned.
Showers on and off this morning,so finished packing away the shearing shed stuff.
Had a lunch time visit from Gary, who dropped off more cattle pour on had his coffee and went away with  an order for 4 tons of minerals.
The contractor in topping the weeds in the field that is going into fodder rape,as there are too many to plough in otherwise. The drainer here finishing off cleaning the road side ditch too.
Decided to bite the bullet and went to cut 15 acres of grass ready to bale and wrap.  Had a visit from an inspector from the agricultural dept. at Galashiels to say they would be in to check the whole place with their GPS to check for mistakes ! Fingers crossed as my subsidy depends on the out come. It will take him a while to walk round 100+ fields & 3000 acres !
Decided to give the tractor a wee treat tonight and change the engine  oil and oil and fuel filters . Only 100 hours overdue !
Littlemissquirk in to see Mrs Farmerboab and a cuppa tonight,who reminded me that today was Tractor Tuesday,seeing as I forgot last week
