This should probably have been a blip of the Olympic torch. It passed within 100 yards of me today, but unfortunately I was in a meeting, and it was (somewhere) in a convoy (was it in a van?!) as it was en route between Forfar and its next stop in Meigle.

But a friend of mine who's not too well at the moment saw the torch in its full glory when it passed her house, so I think that makes up for it. Hopefully I'll hear the whole story when I see her on Thursday for one of our regular lunches!
