morning glow

Our Home Owners Association has pulled out a lot of old trees and shrubs that were fire hazards, leaving the neighborhood looking a little barren. But they have recently filled the empty spots with new shrubs and flower gardens, such as this patch of day lilies.
It is amazing how different the patch looks depending on where the sun is hitting. The other day the yellow lilies were catching my eye, but this morning it was all about this red one.
