MonoMonday 77 Summer

Well what an awful day to have this subject as today's MM theme: to be fair we ARE in the right season here in the UK but it could not have been more un summer like if it tried: rain, wind and heavily overcast skies were the order of the day here in Essex at least.

Having waited all day in the vain hope that the sky might clear, I eventually gave up and assembled a few drink related items that make me think of Summer.  Of course it had to be Pimms.  I can't say I'm thrilled with the result - it was getting dark by the time I started on this which didn't help at all with the lighting.  In the end a  dogged determination not to miss MonoMonday at least any more than I can help persuaded me I should post my effort.
My troubles didn't end there though: my PC now does some work related rebooting process on Monday evenings which means if I don't get finished by 11.30pm it automatically shuts down.  I didn't, so it shut down and  here I am on Tuesday (which I might add, is warm and sunny) putting up yesterday's blip.
