Absent birthday girl

Today's daughter #2's 11th birthday but she is away on a school trip. Before she left, I said she can be like the queen and have two birthdays. We shall celebrate her birthday on her return in Friday. I have made her this plate for her birthday.
I worked from home today so I could get some marking done. My son had an appointment with the orthodontist at 2.50pm so I picked him up from school at 2.30. I yleft him at the surgery because I had to go to daughter #1's school to pick up a French exchange student who will be staying with us for the week. His name is Mathias and he's really nice.
Just before dinner, birthday girl called us. She's having a fantastic time but did have a little cry in her bed after one of the other girls told her that she hopes that she will die just before daughter #2 went abseiling.
