Charlestown

It was dry and sunny first thing and as planned we met our friend in St. Austell and headed off for our second attempt to visit The Lost Gardens of Heligan, without the rain of this very day last week??  But hey ho the closer we got to the gardens it rained again and persisted down, so we agreed to leave it for yet another day.  I understand that Charles and Camilla carried out their visit there today though, albeit underneath umbrellas!!  Pity we missed them.

Then the sun came out in the late afternoon so we had a mooch about in the lovely harbour at Charlestown admiring the tall ships moored in the basin, and watching the splendid views and the world go whilst  sitting on the terrace of The Harbourside Inn enjoying a pint of Tribute.
