Ian Stannard, Wouter Peols (?) and Geraint Thomas lead the peleton defending Chris Froome's lead.
Thomas crashed later in the stage and lost his favourite and distinctive sunglasses.  "They don't make them anymore" he said.  I'm sure he'll find another pair!!
