My namesake and great friend Chris died eight years ago and the one thing he wanted me to have was this head. Sculptured in wood, I had it in my home office for many years but it is now outside. Chris's wife asked me why I had it indoors and it was difficult to come up with an answer. She told me that her Chris always thought of it as an outside piece, so that is where he now is placed - looking happy and keeping a kindly and watchful eye over us... It is also a very tactile piece of work and one that continues to connect me to my friend.
