Gathering in bracken

One minute we are up here, the next I see sheep cutting back between husband and I and send Breagh to get them she got them stopped half a mile back and then they cut round her and head down to the road. I didn't let her go to the road unattended to get them just too worried a car would run her down. So I caught her up and got in behind them and ended up walking them up the road to the farm! Naughty sheep! Absolutely exhausted today! Walked over 10 miles on rough tussocky ground up and down and doubling back because the sheep have then round in circles!! The weather held all day with only the odd spit of rain then just as we put the dogs in the pick up and no exaggeration the rain started!

 

Only had Breagh and Pip out today and they are exhausted. Poor Shaw is sore from the weekends gathering. Now you can begin to see why we have so many dogs. I tried sending Pip through some very tall thick bracken today and she was like she had a trampoline. She couldn't see the sheep I was sending her after so she would bounce out the bracken to get a look then run a little further then bounce up again. It was hilarious to watch!

 

12c 10mph SE cloudy and slight drizzle showers until 4pm then heavy rain for 2 hours then showers again.
