Fancier
Since I was informed in no uncertain terms of their views on the protected status of peregrine falcons, I have been wary of engaging with the pigeon fanciers who come our way to release their pigeons. In any case, since I am usually with Cooriedog, they do not like to detain me and I'm OK about that.
They seem to be divided into two camps. The enthusiastic amateur who arrives in an estate car, takes the basket out of the car and lets them go after they have settled. They are the more sociable.
Then there are the serious ones. They don't take any notice of what's around them and travel in customised vehicles.
The serious ones were around today.
