We filled all our bowls and buckets and tubs with hot soapy water and set the children to scrubbing all the toy animals, bricks etc. Then had groups of children taking it in turns to go outside and wash our outside toys and weed our garden, it was a bit damp but no one seemed to mind. I found a family of beautiful toads, so put one in a storage box so the children could all have a quiet look at her before I put her back. In the afternoon the parents were invited in to watch the children be given a certificate and their learning journal.
After school we had cake and Pimm's to say farewell to several members of staff who are either retiring or moving on to new schools.
Then the visit to my parents, and on to do a bit of shopping, reduced tarte au citron, extra yummy at 49p.
